Ever wondered the difference between airbrush and traditional foundation? Myself, I prefer traditional makeup for my day to day makeup routine. This is due to the simplicity of the use, and convenience of it. Traditional makeup comes in a container, ready for use at any time. It only requires your hands, a brush, or sponge for application. So simple! Traditional makeup is your everyday Nars, Laura Mercier, Lancome, bottled liquid makeup foundation. Depending on the finish you can get sheer to full coverage.
The product line I have in my makeup kit is CoverFX and RCMA. CoverFX is medium to full coverage and has a beautiful semi-matte finish. RCMA is light to full coverage with a dewy finish. These two products give me the versatility I need to product any kind of look I need for my clients.
Now let’s get to airbrush. Airbrush foundation is applied out of a compressor using air. The makeup “gun” holds the liquid foundation. With the press of a button you get an extremely light, matte finish. You can do layers of airbrush foundation to achieve the look you desire as well. The downside of airbrush is it’s not for the everyday makeup application. It takes up space and you need to clean the “gun” with every use with a special cleaning solution. It is however, fantastic for bridal parties especially on those who don’t love the feeling of makeup on their face. With a wide range of color options, Temptu airbrush foundation is my go to for these special occasions and is staple in my bridal makeup kit.
With all this new information…which one will you do on your wedding day?
